Review

"In this tribute, abundant illustrations accompany the text in celebration of the Farmall and other International Harvester tractors." -- Reference & Research Book News --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Product Description

International Harvester's Farmall tractor revolutionized farming around the world. Introduced in 1922, it was an inexpensive, lightweight, general-purpose, row-crop tractor that could literally farm all. Through the years, the Farmall became one of the world's most popular tractors.

This book showcases collectible International Harvester tractors from the 1910s to the 1960s, including the famous Farmall, as well as other International Harvester and McCormick-Deering models. Readers will be captivated by Ralph Sander's detailed history and outstanding color and black-and-white photographs, historical ads, and brochures of what was the world's bestselling tractor as well as a leader in innovation and engineering. Also recommended: Vintage Farm Tractors, Vintage Ford Tractors, Vintage Case Tractors, Vintage John Deere, Classic Tractors of the World, Toy Farm Tractors, This Old Tractor, The Field Guide to Vintage Farm Tractors. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent historic details and pictures of IHC tractors, May 12, 1998
This is the best book I've seen on the subject of International tractors. It has a good amount of detail of the history of the various companies and an excellent mix of old and new photos.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best books for the history of the Farmall line!, October 2, 2001
Ralph Sanders does an excellent job of explaining the history of the Farmall from the invention of the reaper all the way to the Tenneco buyout of International Harvester. Excellent pictures, useful and historical text, and wonderful explainations of every tractor pictured. Pictured tractors have some of the best restorations that I have ever seen! A great book for anyone interested in the history of the Farmall line of tractors and International Harvester Company.
