5.0 out of 5 stars Best for re-enactors, still good for writers, March 11, 2007
There is a terrible dearth of information about men's clothing and fashion before the 20th century. This book concentrates on the exact construction details of men's shirts, in such detail that a person could recreate them. This is slightly less useful for writers, for the information is fairly narrow and deep rather than being broad, but the information is very sound.

Recommended, for either use.
