Editorial Reviews

From Booklist
Gr. 4^-6. A follow-up to Psychology for Kids (1990), which helps children learn about their own behavior, this book explores why others behave as they do. People, paper and pencils, and a copy machine to reproduce written tests are the principal requirements of the 40 experiments, which investigate such things as gender differences, learning skills, perception, and logic. Kincher adds a sprinkling of classic concepts and terms and guidelines for interpretation. She also makes it clear that the experiments aren't rigorously scientific, just fun and challenging. A great change from the usual "science experiment" book, this will leave some kids absolutely fascinated. Stephanie Zvirin

Product Description
Psychological experiments cover such areas of human nature as attitudes and beliefs, opinions and judgments, perceptions, communication, gender differences, and memory and learning.

4.0 out of 5 stars Psychology for Kids II, August 9, 2007
This is a great book, but it is different from Book I. While Book I has quizzes for the individual to take, this book has experiments that are done sometimes with groups of people. It is still a fun book, but we were hoping for more of an extension of book I. I'd recommend looking at the table of contents before purchasing.

3.0 out of 5 stars For school or work with groups of kids., March 8, 2007
I am a Clinical Psychologist and I bought the book thinking it would have a lot of practical excercise to do in a clinical set, but not, the exercise are good but to do with a lot of time and many kids, needs more than 2, so , can be great for a psychologist that works in a school or with groups.
