Editorial Reviews

Product Description
A collection of fifteen one-act plays. Each of the plays in this book is a complete dramatic work balanced for a two-actor performance. Lengths vary from ten to thirty minutes. Many different types of roles from liberated women to bumbling detectives, from childhood sweethearts to homeless immigrants. Many styles: slapstick comedy, modern drama, satire, character study and tragedy. No royalties required. Plays are divided into three sections: 1. Plays for Men and Women, 2. Plays for Men Only and 3. Plays for Women Only. Especially good for classroom and workshop use. Scripts are excellent for secondary and university-level forensic competitions.

About the Author
Award-winning playwright Robert Mauro has practiced his craft since childhood. He has founded a newsletter for the disabled and writes for a variety of media from his home in Levittown, New York.

5.0 out of 5 stars THE GREATEST, January 26, 1999
By tomiede@hotmail.com (Longton, Kansas) - See all my reviews
I would have to say this book contains one of the greatest of duet plays ever. I know thus for a fact beings that Mauro's "My Friend Never Said GoodBye" granted my soon to be wife and I several 1st place winnings in drama festivals.

1.0 out of 5 stars trite and boring, June 30, 2000
By A Customer
This collection of poorly written sketches will not stretch your acting abilities one iota. The dialogue is generic and predictable, the moralizing tiresome, and the situations uninspired. Life is so much more interesting and multifaceted than as presented here.
