Product Description

In her book, "Dear Diary," Joan R. Neubauer takes you on an exploration of the art and craft of writing a creative journal.

The book includes the history and philosophy behind the art, as well as the mechanics, abstracts, and many other additional insights. It has many tips to make your writing more enjoyable as well as enhancing the quality of your journal.

"From Memories to Manuscript" is intended to help you write a quality autobiography that others will want to read. Each of the six sections--research, organize, write, edit, print, and publish--describes the steps that will lead you through the process professionals use when writing, and each step is discussed in detail. The methods described will assist you in looking at your project in smaller, more manageable pieces.

This is the perfect gift for yourself or a loved one. "Tell it like it really was." The author helps you to undertake a great adventure and write the book you always said you would. This book is a companion to the author's Dear Diary.

5.0 out of 5 stars A helpful guidebook, February 1, 1999
By A Customer
Don't buy books that are 500 pages long to tell you how to write your life story. Spend an hour with this book and you'll learn all you'll ever need to know about writing your autobiography or family history. I know. I'm doing both. After reading her Diary book, I had to read this book too and was not disappointed.

Read it, then write the story only you can tell.

1.0 out of 5 stars Handbook for idiots, September 1, 2005

(REAL NAME)
This little pamphlet is for senior citizens wishing to leave the story of their lives to their grandchildren. It states the few obvious things that such a one needs to do. It is not for anyone wishing to try to write.

1.0 out of 5 stars too simplistic, January 18, 2007
By kskinct (Rowayton, CT USA) - See all my reviews
This is a pamphlet, not a book. The information describing this should indicate the level of the oncversation in this "book." It's very introductory. I bought this as a gift and didn't even give it to the recipient. It would have been an insult. I'm very disappointed.
