Editorial Reviews

From Library Journal

Project Remember is a categorized index of the gravesites of over 5300 Americans and others who left their marks on our culture, ranging from Columbus (d. 1506) to Ansel Adams (d. 1984). This reviewer was hard put to think of any name that did not appear in the excellent index. Burial sites of famous animals, mass burials, and a geographic listing of gravesites expand its usefulness. Each entry contains birth and death dates, profession, a brief biographical note, and burial site, if known. While paper and binding are good, the typography is marred by transposed lines, gaps, and other errata. The high cost of this specialized volume will put it out of the reach of smaller libraries. For a less inclusive but less expensive purchase see Jean Arbeiter's Permanent Addresses ( LJ 5/15/83). For large public and university libraries. James Moffet, Baldwin P.L., Birmingham, Mich.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book..., April 1, 2005
By Joshua Perry "Cigar Josh Perry" (Sterling Heights, MI United States) - See all my reviews
I picked up this book last winter... I got a used copy which saved me 30 bucks... If your looking for an index type book of a who's who in history, entertainment (celebs), politics, etc etc... I highly recommend this book... This book talks briefly about people and is to the point about their life... In most cases it does list the cemetery they are buried in...

5.0 out of 5 stars A great book for celebrity cemetery buffs., June 16, 1998
By Korky@geocities.com (California, U.S.A.) - See all my reviews
This is a great book for cemetery buffs. I have also become a friend of Arthur's and hope he someday gets to update his book. Yes there are a few mistakes, but we all find that in this hobby. With much love Kimberly, California.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but outdated, June 1, 1998
By A Customer
Project Remember is a good resource book for grave hunters but is very out of date (published in 1986). It's good to have, though!
