Editorial Reviews

Review
A mesmerizing tale of grizzly bears and humans, who, in chilling detail, morph into a lethal mix. -- Outdoor Unlimited, Outdoor Writers Asso. of America

Cheek neither sensationalizes nor sugar coats. He tells real-life stories in real-life terms. -- Mack McConnell, Rural Montana, Great Falls, MT

You should have included a Kleenex in the front of the book for people like me. -- Millie Glasebrook, Bigfork, MT

Product Description
Her story begins as an Ursid Shirley Temple, a cute blond phenom amid the real-life Shangri la of Glacier National Park's most scenic mountain valley. In time, however, the curtsying knockout zoomed to Princess Diana-sized celebrity, demanding more than admiring glances and the flashing bulbs of paparazzi cameras. It was those outsized demands and an ever-growing haughtiness that attracted official attention.

5.0 out of 5 stars Most Awesome Book I Have Ever Read, July 2, 2004
By Phyllis Hammons "Phyllis Hammons" (Early, Texas United States) - See all my reviews

This is the most awesome book I have ever read, and I love to read. This is a must-read for anyone who is interested in wildlife. Besides being totally intriguing, it can change the very way you look at life. Roland Cheek always puts out great books, but he hit the jackpot with this one!

4.0 out of 5 stars chocolate legs, October 30, 2003
By mike (Ronan MT) - See all my reviews
The book Chocolate Legs by Roland Cheek is worth reading. He describes the Story line really well and he tells in realistic detail. Roland Cheek writes about things about the problems that they had with the bear. I would recommend this book to anyone even if they weren't from Montana.

5.0 out of 5 stars Chocolate Legs, June 29, 2003
By William R. Cramer (Spring, TX United States) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I love the folksy style of author Roland Cheek. He is not a bear biologist, but he knows his bears!!!I just finished reading this book for a second time, and I feel another star is due. Maybe the best part of this book is that Roland Cheek is NOT A BEAR BIOLOGIST!!!!
