Sharing through stories, sometimes true and fact-ridden; sometimes true and impression-drive. Both are valid apporaches to our world, and ways to connect. Either way helps us to articulate our impressions and experiences, to frame the world against our own perceptions and understandings.
This is an invaluable book for anyone seeking to connect and learn about others around them on any number of levels. Sharing your own stories and inviting others to share leads to the security of those on the edge to begin to share their own stories. Clickety-clack, as some will recognize, invites each and every one of us to share more deeply as it goes around the room or the camp fire.
And in the telling, we discover ourselves.
And in the listening, we learn that we are none of us alone.
