About the Author
Dave Behrens has been a marine biologist with Pacific Gas and Electric Company since 1974. Prior to that, he was with the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco. Although his thesis concerned the reproductive biology of surfperches, Dave has been interested in marine molluscs since his undergraduate days. That interest has grown, and now he is a recognized authority among west coast opisthobranch taxonomists. He has also published several articles on topics of marine ecology and taxonomy in both technical and popular periodicals. An energetic student of biology, he is always anxious to share his findings with others.
