When I first started fishing, I didn't have a clue- I pretty much used saltwater tackle at San Diego lakes without any luck. Then I picked up this book and have caught scores of trout from San Diego to the Sierras. Whether if you've just moved to California, a beginning angler, or an experienced trout fisherman, this book is for you. Go beyond drowning worms or powerbait and find out what a "Shasta Fly" or a "Christmas Tree" is. Learn the key differences between rainbows, browns, brookies, cutthroats, and goldens. Learn techniques on how to fish from the bank, trolling, or anchored on a boat that only a pro would know. This guide is a wealth of knowledge, providing not only how to catch trout but where to go, detailed maps, and even contact information! The only wasy this book could be better is a pass to go fishing with Mr. Kovach himself!
