From Library Journal
The Rinharts designed this pictorial history chronologically, as the winter visitors arrived in each area, from Fernandina through the interior to Tampa then back to St. Augustine and down the east coast to Key West. Concentrating on the late 19th and early 20th centuries, they focus on what the early tourists saw. The authors have chosen a superb sampling of photos, many of which are published here for the first time. Each chapter is introduced by descriptive narrative that places the photos in context. An excellent photohistory of an overlooked period in Florida past, this is recommended for many libraries. Susan Hamburger, Florida State Univ. Lib., Tallahassee
