From Library Journal
An attractive cover and reverse of art and photographs encompasses the intriguing history of Sid Grauman's movie palace on Hollywood Boulevard. When The King of Kings opened on May 18, 1927, the theater's cement block forecourt had already been imprinted with the hand- and footprints of Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks. Photos with informative captions depict every contributor to the forecourt masonry, including the Star Trek cast in 1991. The text analyzes each ceremony as well as the honoree's career. In addition, there is a map of slab locations, and Ginger Rogers provides a foreword. This book will reward scholars as well as the general public. Highly recommended for film collections.
