4.0 out of 5 stars Good book for nurse practitioner students., June 10, 1999
By A Customer
I was finding the Pharmacology text in Grad. school very confusing. This book defined M2,M3,Alpha and Beta agonists & antagonists in a clear, easy to comprehend manner. Good clear charts. Cartoons were pretty worthless but I like the book. Good to study from for tests.

I am MD and pharmacology teacher in the medical school of Universidad Libre de Cali. This book is very good for the medical students, contains the essentials without unnecessary detail for them.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not as amazed as everybody else., December 17, 2001

Yes, this is a pretty good review book. It has drugs stuffed into tables, and even includes some good text in the chapters. Unfortunately, there just isn't enough info in the book for a pharm class or a USMLE review. Run and buy Lippincotts if you want the best pharm book on Earth. Ridiculously simple, has alot of great books but this really isn't one of them. It is ok but really isn't all that useful. GO BUY LIPPINCOTTS NOW....Believe me that will make your pharm experience simple as it can be.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not very helpful.
I'm not sure how this book ended up in the Ridiculously Simple series. Maybe because of brevity with the subject? It reads like an abbreviated text. Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for review, bad for learning
While in school, I enjoyed the pictures and such. But found the book tough to learn from. Maybe I don't handle gigantic lists that well. Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Great pharm review book
Great charts and they group the meds together by class. They give you a quick patho review too. This book really helps with memorization and it really is simple.

4.0 out of 5 stars It did the job
I've been out of Medical School a long time. This pointed out what topics I needed to pursue in more detail in order to bring myself up to speed.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great book, but not as detail oriented as I would have liked
Really easy to understand literature, however it didnt go into detail as much as I would have liked it to. But overall, its not a bad book if you need to review.
