5.0 out of 5 stars 1st edition:Louis Wain King of the Cat Artists, February 26, 2003
By A Customer
Louis Wain's story will tug at your heart strings and make you laugh and weep but you'll never forget this courageous artist. He battled mental illness and a stint in the horrendous Bedlam Asylum yet produced zillions of cat pictures that bedazzled the British and thrilled the Americans. Today many of these have been destroyed by World War II bombings, or are in the hands of collectors and not for sale.
The author, Heather Latimer, is the leading authority on Louis Wain in the United States. As with any other work
on Wain by this English writer, this 1982 classic is sensitive, well researched and, due to dramatized format enlivening its serious content, a most enjoyable book to read.
Now out of print it is a sought by individual collectors
all over the world and heady prices are being offered for
a copy.

'

sought by individual Wain fans from all over the world.
