1.0 out of 5 stars Huge disappointment!, August 31, 2000
By Ed Gein (Punxatawney, Pennsylvania) - See all my reviews
When I first discovered this book online, I had to have it!... Whenthe book arrived the next day, I found myself fall into a deep state of sorrow, as it did not live up to my expectations one bit.

When I discovered a book about bestiality in 17th century New England, I did not imagine that it would be a boring, pictureless pile of garbage. Where are the pictures of this early bestiality? Where are the pop-up presentations? Nowhere! Who cares about the garbage addressed in this book? What we all want are instructions and diagrams of how these early Americans practiced bestial sex, not an overly-long research paper.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not as informative as I had hoped, September 29, 2004
By Tristan H (Sutton) - See all my reviews
As an avid studier of bestial relations throughout the ages, I was keen on finding what this book had to offer. Unfortunately the potted history of Seventeenth century sodom was not what I expected. Anyone who practices bestiality will tell you that Herdsdale sheep are by far and away the most suited to homo sapiens and that Riggotts goats and possibly THE most uncomfortable to couple with out there in the fields whereas this book positively glossed over these two important breeds.
Unfortunately where I live in Sutton there's precious little opportunity to enjoy "the countryside" in this manner so I look to such books to "keep my eye in". Whilst a fairly entertaining read, it failed to "get my goat".
