Astute and provocative. -- Los Angeles Times

Read this book and be the master of your own destiny. -- JAMES A. BARRY, Jr., host of JIM BARRY'S FINANCIAL SUCCESS, PBS

There are going to be two groups of baby boomers at retirement age: those who prepared and those who should have. The 77,000,000 baby boomers between the ages of 30 and 48 need to start planning for retirement now. Baby Boomer Retirement: 65 Simple Ways To Protect Your Future is a one-stop resource for busy boomers who want to take control of their financial lives and protect their children, their parents and their financial future. Don Silver suggests five essential steps every baby boomer should be doing right now: 1) Determine how large a nest egg will be required for a retirement that avoids working during retirement. 2) Double-check what Social Security shows as your earnings history before it's too late to make corrections that could cost you tens of thousands of dollars. 3) Review your work pension records to be certain that you are not shortchanged due to digits being reversed on your earnings history so that a $31,000 salary doesn't appear in retirement calculations as $13,000. 4) Start to save money off the top even if it's using a piggy bank. 5) Diversity retirement investments so that all your financial eggs are in one basket. We can see from the current longevity of a bull market that hundreds of thousands of boomer investors are beginning to wake up to their economic retirement needs. Clear, concise, methodical, practical, easy-to-understand, and readily applicable no matter what your current level of income is at, the Baby Boomer Retirement is "must reading" for any boomer that doesn't want to end up busted! -- Midwest Book Review

There is no better time for a book on retirement for late-blooming baby boomers... -- Copley News Service

This book provides clear and precise information on topics such as ways to reduce income taxes or how to "do good" and increase your cash flow. The format is simple to use. It functions very well as a reference book. I have found it to be very useful!

2.0 out of 5 stars Baby Boomers Need Help After Retirement, May 7, 2007
I read the book more for the benefit of my parents than for myself. I was looking for a book that could help answer questions about what my parents problems today. This book is intended for individuals who are saving for retirement today, which many are living paycheck to paycheck like our parents did.
