Editorial Reviews

Product Description
The SAP APO Knowledge Book - Supply and Demand Planning provides the information required to fully exploit the capabilities of this Supply Chain Management software from SAP. It is addressed specifically to those who need to implement APO and require a deeper understanding of it. It is therefore ideal for project members of all levels and even for the interested user of APO who wants to understand what is happening inside the package. This volume is dedicated towards the Demand Planning and Supply Network Planning modules and covers the releases 3.0 and 3.1.

About the Author
Wolfgang Eddigehausen is a certified SAP consultant in Supply and Demand Planning (APO) as well as in Material Management (MM), Production Planning (PP), and Accelerated SAP (ASAP). During the last years he was involved in various activities and projects in Europe, South Africa, Singapore, Taiwan, Australia, and the USA.

He is fully dedicated towards the Supply Chain Management area and the use of SAP APO in particular. His area of expertise includes not only the general Supply Chain Management area, but also a very detailed knowledge of the APO package.

Knowing the problems accompanied with getting started on a new platform like APO, he decided to write the first available APO related book "Understanding SAP APO", followed by the "APO Knowledge Book – Supply and Demand Planning".

5.0 out of 5 stars Thorough, indepth indispensable piece of work, May 24, 2003
By Pierre Fourie (Singapore) - See all my reviews
I bought the book in Feb 2003 to assist me on a project. It is an essential book for any level APO consultant. The book contains sections to understand how APO functions and also how to apply it - down to detailed technical level. The book is essential as SAP's own courses and documentation is vastly inadequate to equip someone to consult in supply chain theory and implementation. Detailed diagrams and tables explain complex concepts clearly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent reference guide for both user and consultant, July 9, 2003
By A Customer
I have just started using the SAP APO module in my company and found that this book is essential in helping me understand both supply chain concepts and SAP know-how. Vital information such as explaining the basic fields in product master, PPMs, resource master really helped me appreciate this powerful tool developed by SAP. I just hope that the author,Wolfgang, would quickly finish up his book on the PPDS module and I would be the first in line at the store to purchase it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not Satisfactory, June 26, 2004

I think help.sap.com is much better than this book and the price is also very high.
