Product Description

Discovering the Five Elements is a Chinese medicine guide to healthy living, written as a daybook, with a page for each day of the calendar year. On each page there is a quotation or poem, some text explaining some facet of Chinese medicine, and an exercise to use to stay healthy with the seasons. There's also space to write on each page, so the book can be used as an energy diary to monitor your state of balance with the elements and seasons of your life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful and Useful, August 26, 2004
Provides a wonderful short "thought for the day" along with simple activities that facilitate awareness of our oneness with Nature and the cycles of life. There are also beautiful illustrations and poetry. It would be especially beneficial to those experiencing Five Element Acupuncture treatment. However, anyone who is interested in improving their health and sense of wholeness could use and would enjoy this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Educational Daily Thoughts Book, November 4, 2008
By Yang Cheng Fu "A Searcher" (Feasterville, PA United States) - See all my reviews
This book is a breath of fresh air daily reminding me of the five elements
and their seasonal effect on me. The explanations are not too technical but more on a personal level, the choices of poetry and interviews are in keeping with the season, this book I can see using daily year after year adding notes such as seasonal herbs and foods and more to embed these thoughts deeper into my psyche.
