Jake Fratkin's book on Chinese pill and extract remedies is one of my desk-side references. It gives several names for most remedies along with recommended uses and dosages.Highly recommended for students of acupuncture or any aspect of Oriental medicine because ancient herbal combinations are made from ingredients that help maintain health and balance. Studying the combinations helps you to understand how mind and body work together according to Chinese medicine. I use the book as a quick reference when writing articles. It is one of the favorite sources that I list in ASIAN HEALTH SECRETS and PERSONAL RENEWAL.

Fratkin has done an excelleny job of offering a guide to the sometimes murky realm of Chinese patented herbal compounds. This volume has helped me navigate the aisls of local herb shops and locate bone bruise medicine with the aid of the non-English speaking shop clerk. I especially like this guide because it includes a list of ingrediants, and shows what percentage of each herb, animal, or mineral is included.

I paid for my Herbal patent formulas book but you I never got it! Could you please find out what went wrong. I recieved a letter saying that I purchased it, and paid for it but I never got it. I even wrote to you thanking you for finding the book. Please get back to me. Ric Cosentino.
