This book is very disorganized and very dated. The abdomen exercises are particularly old fashioned. The parts that deal with punching and blocking are accurate but not well written or very thorough. To any would be boxer out there I would say go to a gym. This book at best will be only a suplement and not a good one at that.

This book is written about a boxer's workout, but it does not go into detail about the workouts and it is not presented by a boxer. It is written by a weekend warrior in New York City who glamorizes the sport for his yuppie buddies and defunct gym owners. While there is a mention of the actual workout, there is insufficient detail about the workout and its many variations. I was very disappointed with it, and I work out in New York City.

This book, although written for adult professsionals, might as well had been written for a juvenielle in that it is so basic and doesn't really offer anything of substance that a one with common sense doesn't know already. This book was a waste of money for me. This book is outdated, and its explanations are simplistic at best. Get "Fighting Fit" or "Championship Steetfighting" if you want something with more meat and less fluff. Seems like this book could have been used in a singles club as the author innundates us with photos of friends who use the boxer's workout.
