Since California is a major tourist destination, this reference should find a receptive audience. The authors cover every state and national park in California for the physically challenged tourist. The wealth of information and detail presented ranges from the special programs offered by parks for handicapped visitors to the placement of support bars in restrooms. Since California Governor Pete Wilson recently curtailed hours of operation in many state parks, the authors wisely opt to give contact telephone numbers instead of outdated hours. Highly recommended for regional libraries, libraries serving the physically challenged, and large public libraries.
