This is the only book I have found that explains to others through the eyes of a dyslexic, what it can be like to be learnig disabled.I highly recommend this book to anyone who is dyslexic or is trying to understand a friend or family member who is learning disabled.As an adult dyslexic, I also recommend the author's website as a wonderful resource for the learning disabled or the parent, teacher, or friend of a learning disabled child.

As a very busy 1st grade teacher, I enjoyed listening to the tapes in my car. The information is helping me to have greater empathy for my LD students. It is also giving me excellent, simple ideas for teaching them more effectively that I can implement immediately.

What does it mean to grow up with a disability that no one seems to understand? For
