Editorial Reviews

Product Description
COME! MEET MY FAMILY and other stories a collection of short stories described by author Alice Mattison: "Paul Beckman's stories are extremely funny and they are also full of wisdom and pain. Wildly logical uncles, maddening wives, cheerfully self-deluded loversall live in a slightly off balance universe in which people seem loyal to their own foolish selves. Yet they are also capable of sudden, astonishing tenderness.

About the Author
Paul Beckman has worked at various times as an air traffic controller, pin setter, carpenter, Teamster, numbers runner, restaurateur, saloon keeper and realtor.

4.0 out of 5 stars Amusing, true-to-life, nostalgic, easy reading, October 14, 1997
By M6rose@aol.com (Killingworth, CT) - See all my reviews
Paul Beckman's family is like no other and yet, it is a family so familiar, it might be yours...or mine. In fact, I wonder... Wonderfully warm and humorous insights into the ways families drive each other crazy. A wonderful gift for any relative...but particularly aunts.
