Product Description

It's time for the paradox. We've all heard biblical predictions of the end time: wars, cataclysm, apocalypse. You've heard predictions of the future, but the paradox is in the past. "PROPHECY PARADOX: The Case for a First Century End Time" shows these prophecies were ancient predictions for the first century. Here is evidence the historical "end time" took place in the first century; and that's the paradox.

"PROPHECY PARADOX: The Case for a First Century End Time" offers a well organized and documented case for first century fulfillment of prophecy. The first Christians 2000 years ago lived in the "last days," and the "end of all things" was at hand in their immediate future. The origin of "end of the world" prophecies was a series of signs meant for those who lived 2000 years ago. Although we are popularly inclined to look for these signs today, this approach is out of context with original intent. "PROPHECY PARADOX: The Case for a First Century End Time" uses source material from the Bible and original Roman Empire histories to show that all the signs were seen in the first century within the generation of the apostles.

"PROPHECY PARADOX:: The Case for a First Century End Time" provides valuable resource material for those interested in the subject. The book includes detailed historical documentation, as well as an index, Table of Contents, chronological table, listing of time statements, table of Old Testament Prophecies Fulfilled, bibliography, and various maps, charts and illustrations.

From the Publisher

Here is a unique interpretation of prophecy that ties the return of Christ to a well documented cataclysmic, historical event. This book makes a case that all prophecy is fulfilled and that Christ returned in A.D.79 during the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius. Many of the signs predicted to occur just before His return are well explained by the ash, smoke, quakes, gas and debris expelled by the volcanic explosion. This explanation differs from the traditional preterist view that the destruction of Jerusalem was the key historical event marking Christ's return. This book challenges the foundations of current eschatological theory.

(This is the second revised edition of "A.D. 79, a Prophecy Paradox")

5.0 out of 5 stars A comprehensive, candid, unflinching examination, April 11, 2002
By Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) - See all my reviews
Now in a revised and updated second edition, Prophecy Paradox: The Case For A First Century End Time by author, Roman Empire expert, and Bible prophecy research specialist Lynn Schuldt is a comprehensive, candid, unflinching examination at the true meaning of Biblical prophecies, how they have been fulfilled, the true nature of millenniums, and even the phenomena of the Antichrist. Prophecy Paradox takes the radical view that the return of Christ happened during the first century of the common era, and that the New Testament prophecies related "End Times" have already come to pass, rather than lying in wait to predict the future. A carefully documented and persuasively argued interpretation, Prophecy Paradox is a singularly fascinating, compelling, and iconoclastic Biblical study.

4.0 out of 5 stars Yes, but ..., June 4, 2002
By A Customer
Schuldt is on to something here, and makes some very valid and important points. However, right after I read this book I read another that I find even more important. It's titled Real Prophecy Unveiled, by Joseph J. Adamson. He too speaks of some of the prophecies already having been fulfilled "before this generation passes" (speaking of the apostles' generation). But he submits that while the Christ will not come again, prophecy IS NOW being fulfilled by the messenger for the "Spirit of Truth" that Jesus said would come, "to guide you unto all truth, show you things to come, and glorify me." (John 16:13,14) Furthermore, he submits that the messenger is the "bridegroom-lamb" who is "of your brethren and has the testimony of Jesus." (Revelation 19:10) Therefore, even though Jesus fulfilled many prophecies during his lifetime and as the holy ghost, still more prophecies are now being fulfilled by his messenger. So, together, Schuldt's and Adamson's books give us the real truth, and they totally refute and expose the "end times" nonsense. In fact, Adamson's book gives us a view of prophecy that we can celebrate.

If you are a Christian and spend your days a wishin' an' hopin' for the rapture, you need this book. You are going to need a place to sit, flask of coffee and probably a shoulder to cry on when you realise you have wasted your time as a Christian who has followed a heresy.

Thankyou Lynn.
