Editorial Reviews
From Library Journal
In this diarylike account of a six-week trip she and her husband took from Maryland to Arizona and back again in a 34-foot motor home, Beard draws on her nine years of motor-homing experience in an attempt to share everything anyone considering RVing would possibly need to know. She discusses everything from selecting motor-home decor and technical specifications to locating campgrounds, hooking up, dumping, and keeping in touch with the folks back home. Although the story is at times entertaining, the journal style is rambling; readers would have benefited from a more straightforward approach in sharing tips and the information one needs for undertaking such a large investment of money and time. An appendix, by far the most useful part of the book, contains frequently asked questions and a list of types of motor homes and trailers, clubs, camping guides, and purchasing guides. A suitable but not necessary purchase for public libraries.?Sandra Knowles, Univ of South Carolina School of Medicine Lib., Columbia
