Essene Book of Days 2004 is a seasonal journal calendar and guide for those on a path of personal and spiritual growth.
To use this book as your personal journal is to call upon the wisdom of the Essenes as revealed in the Dead Sea Scrolls in the service of your own spiritual development. This unique book allows you to dissolve the barriers to your own spiritual awareness gently as you reconnect with the rhythms of the natural order.
Updated each year, the Essene Book of Days shows solar and lunar cycles; provides a page for each day of the year to record your own thoughts; and is filled with Parry's meditations and blessings based upon the teaching of the Essenes.
About the Author
Danaan Parry, born in Orange, New Jersey, spent his childhood on the Jersey shore. Later he became a helicopter pilot in the U.S. Coast Guard and spent a year at the North Pole, a year at the South Pole, then served as skipper of a search-and-rescue vessel in New York Harbor. After working as a research physicist with the United States Atomic Energy Commission, he became a clinical psychologist and served on the faculty of the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California.
On November 14, 1996, the world lost one of its finest citizens. Danaan Parry suffered a massive heart attack and passed away on Bainbridge Island, Washington. Despite this immense loss, Danaan's gifts as a global visionary will continue to bless the human family for generations to come. His commitment to positive change through expansion of human consciousness was relentless; he never stopped dreaming up ways to awaken ourselves to our full potential.
Danaan's most recent gift to the world was his vision "to reverse the legacy of war by working alongside the Vietnamese people to transform the destructive consequences of war into a safe and healthy future for the children of Quang Tri Province." This project, called PeaceTrees Vietnam, was co-created in 1995 with his wife, Jerilyn Brusseau, to address the humanitarian and environmental consequences of war by calling forth the cooperation of former enemies to remove landmines and unexploded ordnance.
This bold program and the work of the Earthstewards Network symbolize Danaan's commitment to inspiring individuals to take action in circumstances which seem hopeless and out of reach.
