Editorial Reviews

Product Description

Millions of Americans have discovered the convenience of using online computer networks such as America Online to meet other single people from not only around the world, but down the street as well. In this humorously candid and informative book, the author shares his personal experiences of meeting eligible local women over the internet, explaining the methods that have made him successful and guiding men through the process of results-oriented online chatting and beyond.

From the Author

A lot of guys have said to me "I don't need your book to meet women." To them I say if you're happy with your sex/love life then you probably don't need the book, but I'll bet that you'll enjoy reading it anyway! If you do want to improve your sex/love life, then it could be worth your while to see what has worked for me, and how it can work for you too. I also want to encourage women to read the book. While it is written in a style that speaks to guys, I think women might find the uncommonly frank male perspective on the whole male/female sex/relationship in the '90s thing, provocative or amusing at least.

4.0 out of 5 stars He won't get a Pulizer but he's sure got personality, June 11, 1998
By A Customer
I bought this book becasue I've dabbled in the cyber-dating thing and i thought it would be fun to see what an "expert" had to say. I was glad that he didn't spend too much time on the technical side of it and focused more on fun stuff like some of his stories and his ideas about male and female relations and how they can play out over the computer (which i have to admit were pretty funny and might shock some younger or inexperienced readers). Overall, it's a great book if you want something light and easy to kill a few hours and have a few laughs. There wasn't much i didn't already know about how to meet a woman online, but he did make a few interesting points that I hadn't thought of. It could be helpful for someone who doesn't know the first thing about it too. Good book to pass around to your friends too - my girlfriends think it's hilarious.

1.0 out of 5 stars Ouch, January 30, 1998

Definitely a book for guys, and his mother would want to wash his mouth out with soap. But the book was limited to only AOL chat rooms, the internet's version of cruising a bar.

5.0 out of 5 stars thumbs up!, July 16, 2000
By Dave (Sacramento, CA) - See all my reviews
I originally bought this book as a gag gift for a buddy of mine but it turned out to be a lot more than I expected. Dan is hilarious - sure he gets a little raunchy here and there but anyone with any sense can tell that it's all in good fun. I think some of the other people who wrote bad reviews on this book either didn't really read it or are from the religious right or something. Anyway - I loved it. My only complaint is that he hasn't written anything else - at least not that I know of... and I guess I wouldn't have minded if the book was longer - I was done before I knew it.
