Editorial Reviews
Book Description
A workbook that is a hands-on approach to textiles used in colonial clothing. Includes 32 modern textile samples to give a "feel" to what are good representations of oznabrig to linsey-woolsey to broadcloth to silk satin.

For educators at all levels, this book de-mystifies the basics of 18th century textiles and clothing of Early Americans in a practical way.

About the Author
Sally Queen has a Bachelor of Science in Clothing and Textiles from the University of Arizona. Textiles and crafts are the common thread through her 26-year career.

As manager of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation costume program from 1987-1995, she and the Costume Design Center staff dressed thousands of interpreters in millions of yards of fabric! She understands the challenge of finding textiles for correct period interpretations.
