Book Description

Sherri Koehnen Goehring has been a licensed child care provider and a parent for 10 years, involved in Early Childhood organizations, and found herself to be a resource of information for child development and parenting ideas. Because of this, Sherri was inspired to write stories for both child care and family use. In her easy-to- read toddler, preschool and early school age books, you will find child development skills, parenting ideas, family values, important safety tips and prevention ideas. Specific topics include manners, sharing, clean up ideas, finger plays, songs, recipes, projects, etc. Sherri is releasing her, "Luv-n-Hugs Series" this upcoming year. Luv-n-Hugs books are unique to other children's books in that, Sherri gives copyright permission to photo copy fun projects and finger plays or children may personalize these pages! Additionally, her books do not offer animal characters, instead the same children in each book that are close to your child's age to relate to. Specific child development areas include: large and small motor skills, science/math/food/recipes activities, songs and finger plays, and language development which are told as a story in a child care setting for the reader to use and expand on if desired. You will find that your child will follow along and participate with the activities in each story and the books in the Luv-n-Hugs series will be among your child's favorite personalized collections. My daughter received this book when she was 9 years old; she is now 11 years old and still loves reading it every night! She also has the Fire Drill Practice at Luv-N-Hugs Daycare that she has brought to her daycare at school and all the kids wanted a book of their own. Kids really like the creative pictures and the fun activities. It is great for the older kids as well as the younger ones.
