5.0 out of 5 stars Author, Promote Thyself, August 19, 2001
By Dan Poynter "Author-Publisher-Speaker" (Santa Barbara, CA United States) - See all my reviews

Whether you sell out to a publisher or publish yourself, the author must do the promotion. One type of book promotion is the book tour.

This is a step-by-step guide. The authors show you how to plan your tour, achieve your objectives and have fun.

Jo Condrill is an author and professional speakers who has conducted successful signings all over North America. John Slack is known for his unique sales seminars and strategies.

This is a comprehensive guide to successful signings for new and emerging authors. Jo and John provide clear, paint-by-the-numbers guidance to make signings more profitable. Get it today-act on it tomorrow.

As a publisher, author of 28 Books, 109 revised editions, six translations and over 500 magazine articles as well as a consultant to the book publishing industry, I recommend this book to both authors and publishers.

--Dan Poynter, Para Publishing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Must read for new writers, April 5, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Condrill's book was fantastic at helping me come up with creative ideas on how to promote my book, Genesis Beach, and how to get folks to host book signings at practically no cost to me. I am still overwhelmed and grateful for the success I'm having. I wouldn't have had a clue without this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars not bad, May 3, 2006
From Book Signing to Bestseller was okay, not bad. It was a quick-read. But I was hoping for some unique techniques to generate publicity to have a huge response to book signing but it was good to have the general idea of how to do a book signing in one place that was nice. I think the book could be condensed down to 2-3 pages of actual useful knowledge. I was also hoping to see that the authors would have actually made their books bestsellers on NY Times or something to show the credibility that they're techniques works but I am thankful to have this information in one book. I'm not sure there's another book out there like it so for that major kudos.
