Review
Rich Rahn is infatuated with life. With a youthful earnestness and an entrepreneur's zeal, Rahn has assembled a most thought-provoking book, "Evolve yourself." Don't expect heavy psychological theory. The introduction to Rahn's book opens with a quote by Dante and Jefferson Airplane. The simple message: "Feed your head." Unlike those "Life's Little Instruction Books" on the counters at bookstores, Rahn's book has a refreshing intimacy and sense of humor. There is something poetic and real for Rahn about balancing humor with the proverbial search for meaning. Perspective doesn't necessarily require "deep thinking." Just a disciplined approach and an open mind. "You're not always in control of your experiences, but you are in control of how you react to them," says Rahn. It's that kind of common wisdom that the book distributors of "Evolve yourself" found refreshing. And, it's that kind of perspective Rahn hopes readers will find enlightening. -- Frank Provenzano, Observer & Eccentric, January 17, 1999
