Product Description

Metaphysics is explained with real scientific experimental data by a father, daughter writing team. In an easy to read format, the belief that thought has real impact on our lives metaphysically is supported with science from legendary quantum physics scholars as Max Planck, Albert Einstein, Niels Bohr, Heisenberg and others. This book is written without formulas or a requirement for the understanding of either metaphysics or quantum physics.

From the Back Cover

Father and daughter provide real insight into the synthesis of metaphysics and quantum physics. The metaphysics is explained in a lively and engaging narration. A new way has been employed to explain science to a reader who has no technical background, or interest, for that matter. No mathematics are included and a "soft" learning experience is made possible.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quantum Physics for Dummies and Smart People, March 3, 1999
By denisemm@pacbell.net Denise M. (San Diego, California, USA) - See all my reviews
Learning to Swim in the Quantum Soup is an engaging little book that helped me understand the primary tenants of Quantum Physics without dragging the reader through a complicated maze of equations and complex theoretical concepts. Written in a breezy, light style the book's an excellent primer introducing the reader to the concepts of quantum physics. Then "Quantum Soup" cleverly compares and contrasts these ideas with metaphysics. The synthesis of the two helps the reader better understand how the Universe we live in works, and how, by working with these concepts rather than contrary to them you can improve your life. It's sort of a fancy way of learning the science of "going with the flow". "Learning to Swim in the Quantum Soup" provides fascinating reading and I experienced many "a-ha's" and insights the first, second and third time I read it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent synthesis of metaphysics & quantum physics, October 20, 1998
By A Customer
Ted Farrell's explanations on quantum physics were very clear and easy to understand. Having had little education in quantum physics, it was a pleasure to become more enlightened on the subject that so many people shy away from.

Lorrie Mackenzie's narration on metaphysics and how your thoughts affect your life or your destiny provide wonderful insight into improving one's life each and every moment. Becoming aware of your thoughts and experiences every day should give you the proof you may need.

Their synthesis of metaphysics and quantum physics was excellent and put into terminology very easy to comprehend.

As a lady always yearning for knowledge, I am thankful to the authors for writing this book. This book will enrich my life in many ways.

5.0 out of 5 stars Get ready to feel small, July 25, 2007
I found the co-author format shared between father and daughter quiet good. It offered a balance between science and the more anecdotal side of the quantum question. I was looking for a book that would help me ease into this subject and "Learning to Swim in the Quantum Soup" is just that. If you are looking for a book that doesn't have a lot of graphs and equations, but can give you a firm footing to start from, this is a good read.
