Editorial Reviews

Review
"I have always felt for every player to reach their highest level, one must understand physical conditioning. Many players seek improved swing motions, and are always tweaking their mechanics, yet their bodies are not capable of making the swing adjustments. Simply, an efficient repeating swing can only be consistent with a functional body. Strengthening and flexibility are always considered factors when one takes a lesson from me. Don's tips will be valuable to all levels of players, and I am glad this book is available to all." -- Rick Smith, PGA Tour's Top Teacher

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book! Takes the guesswork out of golf fitness training, December 2, 1998
By A Customer
I found this book helpful and informative. It covers every aspect of fitness training for golfers, even going into detail on what to bring to the golf course and healthy choices of food to eat while there. I especially enjoyed the chapter on self-assessment exercise, as I am in need of attaining the knowledge of what to do for my specific lack of flexibility and how to increase my strength on the golf course too. This book is a winner!

1.0 out of 5 stars Please, let's get serious about golf fitness!, October 20, 1998
By A Customer
I'm an instructor, and like to recommend fitness books to my students, yet this one falls short in many respects compared to general fitness books and the other golf fitness books. I think "Fitness for Dummies" is a better golf and fitness book than this.

1.0 out of 5 stars Generic Basic Fitness, August 17, 2001
By Eric J. (Detroit, Motor Golfin') - See all my reviews
Compared to other books like Complete Golf Conditioning, etc, this is really generic fitness with the word golf added. I was really disappointed in the nutritional section as I am diabetic and there were only high-sugar options which I had to make. Out of all the golf fitness books I bought in the last 2 months, this was the worst by far.
