From the Author
When I first sat down to write this book, I never imagined how sucessful it would be. Since its inception, we have sold over 14,000 copies. Since the writing of this book, I have retired as Mayor of the City of Westland. I was elected to three consecutive four-year terms and retired in 2002. I have been involved in dozens of campaigns as a consultant and I have advised hundreds of readers from across the country concerning their campaigns. When I first wrote this book, I wanted an easy-to-read book with all the fluff removed. This book sticks to the subject and gets right to the point in every chapter. There are no wasted words. While this book was written with the first-time candidate in mind, this book will help any candidate increase their odds of winning their campaigns, even if they have run for political office before.
