Editorial Reviews

The Discovery Channel, 1999

"Spirits make waves in stories that send chills up your spine."

Product Description

As seen on the networks of Dicovery Communications. Ghost stories and other mysterious legends of the seacoasts, rivers and lakes of America are some of the scariest tales anywhere.

The spectre of a lady in black roams an island in Boston Harbor. The house on haunted hill in Tennessee is filled with unexplained spirits. Dark passages in the tunnels of a Civil War fort in Delaware are still home to ghostly soldiers. A showboat on the Missouri is a floating house of horrors.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great video, February 24, 2002
By Lee Holloway "lee77" (Jacksonville, Florida United States) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
The title "Ghost Waters" is somewhat misleading. The locations are not necessarily on the water, but simply surrounded by, or near, water. Many parapsychologists believe water somehow attracts, or promotes, supernatural activity. The video begins with Rotherwood mansion in Kingsport, Tenn., truly a "house on haunted hill" stalked by numerous ghosts, one of which is a huge black hound of hell. Other locations include a showboat restaurant (in Missouri) haunted by a "lady in red"; an abandoned fort in Boston Harbor haunted by a "lady in black"; spirits of Civil War soldiers at Fort Delaware; and restless ghosts in Charleston. One of my favorites is the wispy "lady in white" who haunts an old cemetery near the Inn by the Sea in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. The video contains on-camera interviews documenting each "haunting," and the scenery is magnificient.
