Review
This is a great book if you are looking for sport lead-up games. Guy Bailey has put together an excellent collection of lead-up games that is one of the most comprehensive in print.
After the initial chapter which explains the role of sport lead-up games, you'll find chapters on games for football, soccer, lacrosse, basketball, hockey, volleyball, badminton, tennis, track, softball, golf, and bowling. Each chapter includes at least a dozen or so games, with some chapters having over 20 games. Each game description includes the objective, equipment, set-up, and procedure to play. There's also an illustration for each game to help you visualize its setup. What's nice is that the games are ready to play with little or no adaptation.
This is a fantastic book to add to your book shelf. Overall, we rate this book "very good." You'll definitely find some games you can use from this book. -- Curt Hinson, editor of PE Resources
