Editorial Reviews

Product Description

The book content explains the direct link between ABO blood types of people and diet, disease, longevity, and compatibility. It explains what one`s blood reveals about the person, why some people within a family stay healthy and others do not, how to add 20 healthier years to one`s life, why certain common foods are considered poisonous, and how to lose body fat without starving. It also contains menus that are blood type specific per individual, refuting the one-for-all-diet philosophy.

5.0 out of 5 stars I've Waited All My Life for This!, February 10, 2000
This is one of those books that makes perfect sense, and yet I never really took the time to research WHY I should eat according to my blood type. Now I know. I am an AB blood type, and no one ever told me that I shouldn't eat chicken, of all things! Since I was diagnosed with extremely high cholesterol three years, I have done everything the doctor said, i.e. stop eating red meat and foods high in saturated fat. Well, I did that, but to very little avail. Now I read The Answer is in Your Bloodtype and find out that chicken is worse for me than steak! Why didn't my doctor tell me about this? I have lost 15 pounds in one month by simply eating according to the menus in this book. I feel wonderful. The book gives uncanny symptoms of the various blood types and the diseases that one can get, depending on their blood type. This book culminated all my "other" knowledge about dieting correctly, lowering cholesterol, and the correct way to eat protein. I've done everything from food combining to counting calories to taking Salmon oil pills and nothing "clicked" until I read and started practicing eating according to my bloodtype. My thanks to the authors and their caring about people enough to publish a book such as this!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Book Works!, February 9, 2000
By Susielouise (Florida City) - See all my reviews
I don't know how the authors came up with their food lists, but I really don't care. It works! I lost 128 lbs, my cholesterol plummeted, I'm a new person, and I got my self esteem back. I am Blood Type B, and was married for 25 years to another Blood Type B. This book changed my life. Try it. You'll like it. It turned my life around. It works! I love the new me! I eat everything but my avoid foods. When I told my friends about it they thought I was crazy. Now they are on the diet. This book gave me back my life. My doctor said it wouldn't work. Now he is telling all his patients to follow it. Its been a miracle for me. I'm alive again! I love it! . Just do It! You're gonna hate yourself later for not trying it. Everyone is going to try it eventually. Its the future!

5.0 out of 5 stars Accurate & Enlightening!, September 4, 2000
By A Customer
I am 19 years old and blood type B. My father is AB my mother O. I spent 6 weeks with my father last summer and adhered to the diet and exercise regimen exactly. I went from 155 lbs. to 135 lbs, and 28% bodyfat to 9%, and while doing so ate more food than before I started. This book has hit the nail right on the head. I will continue to eat for my blood type for the rest of my life, as my body knows and feels the difference. The minute I cut chicken out of my diet, my weight started to drop.

My fathers family are mostly A with one B. Most have already died of heart disease, with the exception of my B grandmother, who is in good condition. My mothers family are all O, and my great grandparents on her side are still living in their 90's. The longevity statistics are so accurate they are scary. The compatibility stuff is really accurate too.

I am grateful that I learned about this blood type stuff at an early age. I used to be tired all the time, now I have energy to burn. I know what I can and cannot eat, and I follow the diet as closely as possible. This is a really good book. I think they should teach this stuff in college.
