About the Author
Heide AW Kaminski was born and raised in Germany. One year as an exchange student in Clinton, MI ultimately led to her permanent move to the USA in 1984. She has three children, Sarah, Angela and Tommy and a step daughter, Nikki. The author has 6 years of experience in public daycare and 6 years as the director of her own preschool. She has spent 4 years working with mentally impaired adults and 2 years as a special education assistant teacher. She has college credits in the early childhood field and is working on her substitute teacher certificate. She has also been working as a Sunday School teacher since 1992 and will not be ready to retire from that position for a long time.
Her first love goes to special needs children as she experiences Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and has a son with ADHD as well. She believes that ADHD contributes to her ability to think and act like a child herself, when needed. While still in Germany she had one collection of short stories for children published. She is a contributor to many anthologies and the author of a childrens picture book about ADHD. Heide writes on a regular basis for a local newspaper and a spiritual newsletter.
