Product Description
The Change Management Toolkit is designed as a practical, how-to guide for companies involved in major change, whether it’s an ERP (enterprise resource planning) implementation, reengineering, reorganization or any other major organizational change project. The Toolkit is a critical, indispensable desktop reference for anyone working in today’s extreme business environment, where on time—on budget—on target results are the minimum acceptable level of performance.

The 3rd edition is updated with proven methods, actions and tools that are immediately applicable to improve results in ongoing project implementations as well as those in the planning stage.

•Key among them is the organizational "DNA of Change." Just as DNA is the key to life, change is key to the life of a company. Organizational change DNA has five essential building blocks.

•The new edition presents the complete, step-by-step methodology for "engineering organizational change" on target, on time and on budget, based on the five essential building blocks that are required for change success. Associated techniques and tools to meet each of the conditions for change are also included.

There is no other comparably priced "how to" framework for organizational change available in the marketplace today! Buyers of the 2nd edition will find this new edition an excellent supplement and very helpful in making tangible those essential "must do…now" actions required in a big change, continuous change world. Users of The Change Management Toolkit will also want to see Holland’s Change Is the Rule and Red Zone Management as indispensable companions to the Toolkit.

From the Publisher
Our clients asked us to create a low-cost, tried-and-true, DIY-change toolkit with enough detail to enable them to navigate with minimal support, yet still see the big picture to be able to maneuver and adapt as needed. In effect, they asked us to codify the "how to’s" that we have used successfully in well over 2500 projects involving organizational change. The organizational "DNA of Change" model and "Engineering Organizational Change" methodology are the newest additions to our change arsenal … and in use at this very moment in change projects in the energy, petrochemical, utility, medical, financial services and retail/consumer industries. Buy the Toolkit and put them to use for better results in your organization today!

5.0 out of 5 stars This book is a complete, practical guide to effective change, September 6, 1999
By A Customer
I have used "The Change Management Toolkit" to effect change in both a reegineering context and in project managing a significant ERP initiative at a major energy company. I have several business associates who have also used "The Change Management Toolkit."

The one characteristic that all of us think distinguishes this book is its usefulness. Whether you are focusing on reengineering concepts or simply trying to understand how to put together a good communication plan for a project, this book has practical guides to follow.

The writing style is very simple and clean. The focus is not on management theory, but on how to recognize and do the various tasks that must be accomplished in effective change management. The book is also well organized by subject content which makes it easy to locate the topics in which you have interest.

Whether you are an experienced change manager or someone who is completely new to the discipline, "The Change Management Toolkit" is a book you need to add to your library. The experienced change manager can benefit from the range of experiences of the authors. New change managers can benefit substantially from not having to begin with a clean sheet of paper every time they tackle a new project. Everyone who uses this book can appreciate the practical, no nonsense way in which it is written.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding resource, January 8, 2002
By Dr. Margaret Shearon, Fl Department of Revenue (Tallahassee, Florida United States) - See all my reviews
The Change Management Toolkit is an outstanding resource. In fact, at the Florida Department of Revenue is using the high level Design the Process model for the validation model for our Child Support Enforcement Program data information management model.
The Toolkit has also been invaluable in assisting the major reengineering of our business processes as we evolve towards an even higher performing organization.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected-my team needed more info!, January 12, 2001
By A Customer
Unfortunately, this toolkit was not what I was looking for. Our team needed more in-depth information and statistics.
