Review
- A treasure trove of ideas! Activities such as Peanut Butter Play-Doh, Wiggly Wormhouses, Frisbee Football and Nature Scavenger Hunt span a broad range of interest and ability levels. Great for rainy days, this resource should be kept next to the spare fuses and emergency candles! -- Owl Canadian Family, "Reading Room" May/June 1997
Although there are dozens of books like this, the difference here is the activities are simple. You don't need a million supplies and the crafts don't take an engineering degree. Not to mention that these really sound like fun; leg wrestle instead of arm wrestle, or make your own face paint or fabric paint with stuff around the house. A good book for those long days of winter. -- The Citizen's Weekly, Ottawa, "Small Print", January 10, 1999
Help! I'm Bored! is a very practical, hands on book. The ideas are presented clearly and could be used for kids at any ability level. A wonderful resource for kids with or without disabilities! -- Merrywood Easter Seal Camp, May 1999
This is a fine resource for a home caregiver, youth leader, grandparent, or daycare worker. If only two afternoons of activities come out of the 300 suggestions, this book has more than paid for itself. Highly recommended. -- Canadian Book Review Annual, 1997
