This book is very good for those who don't understand rechargeable and want a good starting point. It covers NiCd, NiMH, Lead Acid, and the Lithium Ion batteries quite well for the beginner.

All you have ever wanted to know and more about Batteries,
large and small.
A very comprehensive book which covers how to get the very best from your re-chargeable cells as well as the safety requirements.
If you want to understand why your electronic device battery doesn't last as long as you had hoped, then this is the book for you

Excellent book for referencing the different batteries used for portable devices, well put in laymens terms. Almost every line is pertinent to the description and explanation of the differnet batteries available in the market today. Its one you can read over and over again, and pick up something new you might have missed on the last reading. Highly recommended if you sell equipment that uses any of the most popular rechargeable batteries in the market today. You will do your customer a great service to know the value of each battery, when to use, and how to maintenance each one.
