This is a first-hand account of WWII's elite Rangers. Written in Czechoslovakia by Pfc. Morris Prince in 1945, the author takes the reader from D-Day to V-E Day, capturing the events and battles of "A" Company, 2nd Battalion Rangers in accurate detail and interesting observations. It is a rare find, historically recording the courage of this commando-type unit - their failures and successes, in a first voice narrative.
About the Author
Pfc. Morris Prince was in the first wave on D-Day, hitting the beach at "bloody" Omaha Dog Green. Pfc. Prince was in every action of "A" Company from H-Hour until the end of the war and V-E Day. He joined the 2nd Battalion Rangers at Camp Forrest, Tennessee. He also participated in the Battle of the Bulge, Hill 400 and crossing of the Rhine River. Pfc. Morris Prince and his wife, Esther, live today in Florida.
