Tom Veneziano has been an athlete all his life. He was a wrestler and gymnast in high school, and ventured into the tennis arena in his first year of college. Tom began using his Tennis Warrior System from the moment he started playing. With this extraordinary system of thinking incorporated with his playing technique, he quickly attained the No. 1 and No. 2 position on the tennis team and was granted a tennis scholarship. Tom graduated in 1971 from Parson’s College in Fairfield, Iowa with a BA degree in Physical Education. His love for tennis inspired him to pursue a career as a teaching pro. 5.0 out of 5 stars A book that is really useful for your tennis. No doubts., February 4, 2003
I want to highly recommand this book,
to every normal player (like me) that want to improve his game.
Without any doubt.
The reason is that I am following the indications,
the explanations, and the system that Tom Veneziano explain so well in his book.
And right now I am a brand-new tennis player.
I am more relaxed and happy on court.
Now, I really use my mind on court.
My muscles are much more relaxed on court.
I look at my tennis, and at the game of the ATP players,
in a different way. I understand a lot more, than in the past.
You could imagine how, those differences, have had a wonderful effect on my tennis.
The main reason is that, Tom Veneziano,
give to the reader, a system, something you could begin to understand and put in practice the next time on court.
On this book, there is no word about tennis stroke's tecnique.
It's all about the mental game, and the mental side of tennis.
He dont teach you, how to use your arms and legs, he teach you how to use your mind.
Something much more delicate, to use on court.
We all know how tennis is difficult, and full of worries,
after this book, tennis will became less difficult,
and a lot of worries will desappear.
In my opinion it's very important to read it a lot of time.
Because it's full of indications, rights for us,
very normal, but eagers to improve, tennis players.

5.0 out of 5 stars "The Truth about Winning", June 1, 2002
By A Customer
"The Truth about Winning" will help you win a lot more matches because thinking clearly matters so much during competition. Whether you're a club player or a world-class pro,
you'll play better if you use Tom Veneziano's refocus and relaxation techniques. They will help you learn to handle
adversity better. I especially like his advice: "Do not emote.
Evaluate." Mental toughness is so important in the individual sport of tennis. This book helps you use your head so you can play up to your potential more often. I recommend it!

2.0 out of 5 stars not really a book, October 22, 2006
By iconoclast (San Francisco, CA United States) - See all my reviews
This is more an article than a book. Although it gives some useful advice on how to tackle the task of playing competetive tennis, I do not think is worth buying it.
