From the Actor
The journey begins in Dawson Creek, British Columbia, mile "0" of the world famous Alaska Highway. The road is paved now, but still an adventure. We re-visit the old Alcan highway and interesting spots in Canada along the way - Summit Lake, Stone Mountain, Toad River, Liard Hot Springs, Watson Lake, the Yukon River, Dawson City and Whitehorse. In Alaska we visit Skagway, Haines, beautiful downtown Chicken and Eagle. From Fairbanks we drive north on the axle busting Dalton Highway, across the Arctic circle to the oil fields of Prudhoe Bay. Along the way we explore the Gates of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. The high point of a trip to Alaska is a visit to Denali National Park and a look at the "Great One". Wildlife is everywhere, bear, moose, caribou, dall sheep and wolf. A short trip to near by Talkeetna gives us an up close look at the wacky annual Moose Dropping Festival. From Anchorage the road heads south to the Kenai Peninsula, Alaska's playground. King Salmon fishing is highlighted as well as the Homer Spit and Halibut Cove. Fourth of July in Seward features the wild Mountain Marathon and Kenai Fjords National Park. The adventure ends in Valdez with an exciting helicopter ride, glacier-wildlife tour, and kayaking in beautiful Prince Williams Sound. An adventure-packed 80 minute video experience.
