Product Description
Funny, easy to read, practical and straight talking. Yes, you’ll love this book, whether you’re a teenager or not. Let’s face it; relationships can be tough, no matter what your age. Wanting to get honest information that will increase your odds of success while minimizing anxiety is something everyone in a relationship can understand. For teens, it’s no different.

But, for some teens, it’s hard to talk to parents about the hard questions. And for some parents, it’s hard to talk to teens about the hard questions. The answer is here for everyone in this teen-friendly book.

Real-life stories by teenagers pepper each chapter giving the topics an edge. But, this isn’t just a collection of stories. It’s hands-on information that teens can use, starting immediately.

A bigger bonus is that it’s written for both guys and girls. Many dating books today are aimed only at young girls. This book is applicable for both sexes of any age.

Be careful; once you pick it up, it’s hard to put it down. You’ll be laughing and nodding your head while you learn new ways to have confidence with the opposite sex and create healthy relationships that make you feel good about yourself.

Critically praised by teens, parents and professionals, What Smart Teenagers Know…About Dating, Relationships and Sex® is sure to be the most dog-eared book on your shelf.

5.0 out of 5 stars Most Informative and Useful, December 5, 2003
By James K. (California) - See all my reviews
I wanted a book for my 13 year old grandson as he heads into the girls-phase of his life. I was impressed enough with this book that I read the whole thing myself, and have purchased several copies for friends and a colleague to give to their teens or grandchildren.

The book is down to earth and sensible. Has all the tips and pointers I wish I had known about 45 years ago! There are no pictures or drawings of anatomy, so this isn't a primer for "where do babies come from," but has the more important information about emotions, social issues, and how to get through the dating scene without the usual bumps that teens encounter.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good place to start, March 8, 2007
Both of my teenagers got a lot from this book. While it was a bit heavy on the relationship therapy and light on the nuts and bolts of safe sex, it did bring up discussion topics that we'd missed in earlier conversations. Particularly for my son, who is not as comfortable as his sister in talking about this "stuff" with his parent, it was a way to at least introduce some of these ideas and make him look beyond the status of being seen with the gal in the shortest skirt to try to see how his actions would affect the person wearing it. Definitely worthwhile.

I really enjoyed this book. Not only am I convincing my 16-year-old sister to read it (she's a classic "drama queen")but I was able to extract some helpful relationship advice for myself and Im 24!
