5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent!, May 15, 2003
By Christopher Nord (Lawrenceville, NJ United States) - See all my reviews
This book makes learning to deal with finances fun! It gives excellent advice based on how one scores in a fun test. Once you have established your money-handling personality traits, some very simple to follow, common sense solutions are given as to how your personality type can make better use of your talents and minimize weaknesses in order to get ahead financially. I, for instance, have always treated money as sand that slips through my fingers. I live paycheck to paycheck, have almost nothing set aside for retirement, and have very little invested. This is not how I want to be. I, like everyone else, would like to be able to do good things with my money that will ensure stability now and in the future, and yet be able to have some left over with which to enjoy life. This book helped even someone like myself to recognize and impliment some very simple solutions to my present money mistakes, and has given me excellent advice on using my own personal strengths to do better in the future. The authors use examples of various people from ex-Presidents to sports figures to investment gurus to point out various strengthss and weaknesses in each personality type. It's good to know that others have made similar mistakes and have gone on to make millions! Now I know the secret!

5.0 out of 5 stars This book saved my marriage!, April 2, 2003
By Pamela (Orlando) - See all my reviews
My husband and I fought constantly about money - or more accurately, the LACK of it. Somehow we had money but it always slipped through our fingers and we never knew where it went. I kept a complete accounting and hubby just spent and spent. We bought this book, took the test, and realized we had TWO different money personalities. I am a "problem-solver" and he is a "pleasure-seeker." After reading the sections on how to work with opposites, we can now talk about money without fighting; in fact, for the first time we have more money than month :)!! This simple book had a profound influence on our relationship with each other and our interaction with money. We HIGHLY recommend this book!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars An aha moment, August 26, 2003
By A Customer
As the book suggests, after completing the personality questionnaire, I was surprised by the categories that I answered most frequently. It has caused me to question some assumptions I was making about my habits with financial issues. The descriptions of the four personality types are fascinatng, especially the actual indivduals highlighted as examples. Now that I know my financial personality, I plan to review the weaknesses and start work on improving my millionaire code.
