"Miller reportedly threatened to kill American medical students at a local college if the U.S. continued to pursue him...Jamaica's Shower Posse left more than 1,000 people dead from Los Angeles to Miami in the 1980's...." -- L.A. Times

Product Description

The "Shower Posse" is derived from the "shower" of lead it shoots at rivals. Referred to by the FBI as "the most violent and notorious criminal organization ever in America," the Shower Posse was the epitome of drug dealing ruthlessness.

This tell-all saga is in the words of its mastermind, Vivian Blake. Blake skyrocketed to wealth with savvy business skills, but his savage henchmen terrorized the sheets into submission. Blake's men had been raised in Jamaica where murders went unsolved daily. Shower ran wild spraying bullets on anyone and everyone in their way. Their weapons, fingerprints and m.o.'s were not traceable. Most American police had never seen any of them before. That careless attitude toward pulling triggers earned a record 1400+ murders and quickly established Shower's rep.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book is the real thing..., November 3, 2003
By Dierdre N Daley (Stone Mountain, Georgia United States) - See all my reviews
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. This book has good realistic details, I believed every bit of this story. I couldn't put this book down. The book is an easy read for a Jamaican or an American. The book shows how in the Jamaican community, family comes first, unfortunately due to Vivian's family's greed and coveting they were his downfall, but he never turned his back on anyone. Please support Duane Blake's attempt at showing his father's real story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Raptly catches the reader's total attention, July 26, 2003
By Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) - See all my reviews
Shower Posse: The Most Notorious Jamaican Criminal Organization by Duane Blake is a "tell-all" expose of one of Jamaica's most infamous drug cartels. From its origins to the internal strife, greed, and ruthless infighting that brought about its downfall, Shower Posse raptly catches the reader's total attention with its vivid and accurate details as well as the unflattering portrayals of the worst of human nature.

2.0 out of 5 stars THIS BOOK IS HORRIBLE, February 1, 2008
This review is from: Shower Posse (Hardcover)
I love to read, but the writing style of this book is so amateurish, it was like pulling teeth. Hundreds of names of insignificant people, and events that added nothing to the story. The Blake family should have hired a professional writer. A great story exists here but, the writing style is so annoying, you lose focus
