WriteGirl is a project of Community Partners ®, a nonprofit organization. WriteGirl provides programs for inner-city high school girls centered on the craft of creative writing and empowerment through self-expression. Through one-on-one mentoring and monthly workshops, girls are given techniques, insights and hot tips for great writing in all genres from professional women writers. WriteGirls support, encourage and challenge each other to express their emotions, ideas and dreams on paper and out loud. The result is a channeling of their thoughts and emotions, improved self-confidence and life skills and, most important, a window to a wide world of possibilities. Bold Ink is WriteGirls second anthology.
Bold Ink is WriteGirls second anthology, highlighting writing produced during WriteGirl's second season. Its first anthology, Threads, was published in 2002.
