5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, Challenging Book, October 10, 2004
I just got this book, and I LOVED it. The stories were honest and relevant, and I felt like I could easily apply a lot of the advice to my life. The Coffeehouse Gospel really encouraged me to share my faith in everyday conversation- just like the title says. I strongly recommend it to anyone who struggles with the term "evangelism" because it breaks down that word's stereotypes. DEFINITELY check out this book. It will encourage you to evaluate the way you share your faith and challenge you to be a stronger Christian.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great book for anyone who loves to share Christ, October 18, 2004
Coffeehouse Gospel is a great book to read and not be afraid to share it with others. It is easy reading and to the point. When I finished reading it I really felt I had found a way that I could share my faith without offending anyone. The author is not afraid to share his mistakes which helps you to relate to the content. He is witty but also serious about how to share with others your relationship with Christ.

4.0 out of 5 stars Solid, helpful book, June 6, 2005
By Marty Duren (Flowery Branch, GA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This book is an excellent encouragement tool for sharing one's faith in Jesus, especially those who have been trained in "smashmouth" or "drive-by" evangelistic methods and desire to learn a more relational way to share Christ. Drawing upon his own experiences in the workplace, Turner gives several examples (not all "successful") of actual conversations he has had--how he started them and how it went.

He also demonstrates how to use cultural tools to build bridges to establish conversations, all the while remembering the sincerety and authenticity of the witness. This is a short, but worthwhile read.
