IS APRIL SPOKEN HERE?

I hope you can speak April…
Perhaps a word or two.
I long to hear the sound of it.
Please try, I beg of you.

Talk to me of trillium,
Of honeysuckled birds,
Or speak of brassy buttercups.
I crave some April words!

Tell me how the honeybee
Spins, drunk, from jonquil doors.
Describe those sparkly sun flakes
That dance on forest floors.

Can you find "pine whispers"
In Nature’s language book?
Or see a bluebird pictured
Or translate babbling brook?

If in April you’re not fluent
Or you find March too passé,
Then lead me to a Poet
And we’ll speak a little May.

5.0 out of 5 stars Children's Secret Garden Treasure!!!, June 21, 2006
I stumbled across this lovely children's poetry book quite by accident. The pressed flower artwork is exquisite and the poetry matches so beautifully. Upon arrival I immediately knew it would be a treasured favorite among our family library! Thank you for publishing this book!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Charlotte's Review, April 10, 2006
I liked this little book very much. In fact, I wrote it! The two ladies who illustrated it are award-winning pressed flower artists.
That makes the book unique. Pressed flower "pictures" are very difficult to print since real flowers are used for all the illustrations, it is in keeping with the title "Charlotte's Garden" and they seem to be a perfect match for my poetry.
I hope children and adults alike will take a moment from their busy days to stroll through my verse garden
